Daily Prompt : Tables Turned

Are you as comfortable in front of a camera as behind one? Being written about, as well as writing?

Photographers, artists, poets: show us DISCOMFORT.

Yes, I am comfortable in front of a camera as behind one although I am not that photogenic.  When I visit a nice place, I want someone to take a photo of me while the beauty of that place can be seen behind me so that someday I can show my kids what I’ve seen and where I’ve been.

I like to be in front of the camera but I love to be behind the camera because then I get to choose what, which, and whom to capture. If the results are not good then I have no one to blame but myself. I’m not a pro but I just love to take photos of my family and capture those unforgettable, funny and great moments  of their lives. Of course I also love to take photos of other people, nice places, nature, and whatever I find interesting.

Writing (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

I am not so sure if I want to be written about. I guess it’s okay if the writer is someone close to me either my  husband or my kids because they are the ones who really know me.

I love writing not because I am good at it but because I can express myself better in writing. I am not a very vocal person (though my hubby thinks otherwise) and not at all confrontational. I used to write and vent out my anger and frustration in my diary but then as I matured, I realized I don’t want to remember those ugly moments. So one day, I tore my diary into pieces and decided to write only positive words. I still get angry and frustrated at times but I don’t write about it anymore and if I do write about it, I make sure not to save it. Life is too short to be angry and frustrated besides it’s not good for my heart so I just let it go.

Weekly Photo Challenge – Solitary

This man obviously wants some solitary moment and the best time to find that moment at the beach is early in the morning.

Here’s another person having solitary moment while capturing the beautiful sunrise.

Share Your World – Week 31

  1. Do you plan out things usually or do you do them more spontaneous (for example if you are visiting a big city you don’t know?) I would plan things out, however, we usually end up doing things spontaneously but it’s okay as long as I get to see some interesting places.
  2. If you could live in any OTHER time, when would it be and why? None. I prefer living in the present time. I don’t like to live in the past because I am not sure if I’ll meet my hubby there and if I will have my darling daughter there as well.
  3. Do you prefer reading short stories or novels? It depends upon the summary of the story. Usually, I read first the summary and if I find it interesting then I read the whole story regardless if it’s a short story or a novel.
  4. As a kid was there any kind of candy that you didn’t like to get? I don’t like mint flavored candies.

Share Your World – Week 29

Here are the questions and my answers for this week :

  1. What sound or sounds do you love?  The sound I love these days is the sound from my little one  –  her laughter, giggles, scream, her way of talking/repetitive syllables, etc.
  2. If you could be a tree or plant, what would you be? I would like to be a bamboo plant, not only because I find it beautiful as a plant but also because beautiful furnitures can be made out of it.
  3. What is your favorite recipe that was passed down from your mother or grandmother?  Have you mastered it as well as the original? My mother can cook well but I wasn’t interested in cooking during my  younger years so my answer is none but it’s not yet too late because I am planning to learn some recipe from her when I go home sometime this year. Me and my siblings love her ‘ Pancit Cabagan’  and ‘Aroz Caldo’ recipe.

  4. What is your favorite genre for novels, and why? I am a hopeless romantic so I love reading love stories and family drama. I like Danielle Steel’s novels.
