Share Your World – 2013 Week 24

If you had to eat only three meals/food for one month, what would you choose? Rice, Chicken Adobo, & Bananas.

For your main meal do you prefer sweet and sour, hot and spicy, spicy and sweet, bitter, salty, bland or other?
Sweet and sour or a bit spicy.

Do you prefer eating things with nuts or no nuts?
I can eat whatever is available, my taste buds are not picky specially if we are referring to chocolate.

For potlucks or parties do you cook it yourself, buy from a grocery store, or pay for catering?  It depends. I usually cook it myself but if I don’t have the time to cook then I would order from the restaurant.

Weekly Photo Challenge – Fleeting

Fleeting – moving vehicles

This hand tractor (or what we call ‘kuliglig‘ in the Philippines) was moving when I shot this photo, hence, the other part was not visible.  Also, on the other side of the road was a man riding on his bicycle.

Weekly Photo Challenge – The Sign Says

I can’t read Arabic but I know what the sign says, it meant this side of the park is for family only.  Male visitors are not allowed here but they can go on the other side, their allotted side of the park.

There are more than 1 sign here, the middle ones doesn’t need translation but the sign in the left corner says, ‘throw your garbage here, littering is prohibited’.

Sunday Post – Toys

Abby and her toys

Abby thinks that anything and everything her little hands can grab is her toy. One good thing about it is that she usually grabs it and shows it to me as if saying ‘look what I’ve got mommy!” Then I have the chance to remove it from her hand and replace it with her real toy.

Sunday Post – Vehicle

Bullock Cart

When I was a kid, my grandparents had a similar vehicle but is bigger and was pulled by a big carabao or kalabaw in Tagalog. We call the cart as ‘kariton’. We used this to carry the harvested vegetables and fruits from the farm (same as shown above) to my grandparents home. That was long, long time ago and I can’t remember anymore what happened to the ‘kariton’.

When I saw the above display at a supermarket sometime last month, I can’t resist taking a photo and I’m glad I did because now I have an entry for Jake’s Sunday post 🙂

Share Your World – Week 21

Here are the questions and my answers for this week :

  1. If you were having difficulty on an important test and could safely cheat by looking at someone else’s paper, would you do so? No, I wouldn’t. If I do so, I know I will not be happy afterwards so I would rather just do my best and if I fail the test so be it.
  2. Since adolescence, in what three-year period do you feel you experienced the most personal growth and change? From 2010 – 2012, for a long time I was living alone then I got married. I was still adjusting to marriage life when I got pregnant. Huge changes and I can say I’ve grown a lot. I became more mature not just with age but with my outlook in life.
  3. If you could change one thing about your home, what would you like to  change? If I could then I would want a wider or bigger kitchen.
  4. If you were given a yacht today, what would you name it? Sea Butterfly.
